About
Heist opened its doors in 2012, as Charlotte’s only Craft Brewpub. Originally brewing on a 10HL German brewhouse, we have opened a 30 barrel production facility. Heist focuses on small batch beer ranging from traditional Belgian Table Beers, Saisons, to IPA's and Double IPA’s, to Porters and Imperial Stouts. Above all, Heist is an experience. Enjoy!

Can from Austrian bottle shop owner, thanks Dietmar! Dark red with a raspberry color foam that lasts well. Aroma of sour blackberry/raspberry, clean. Smooth and balanced, not too bitter, an amazing fruit beer!

Can, many thanks Dietmar! Hazy purple color with pink head. Aroma is really nice blackberries, sorbet, just a tiny bit milky. Taste is super juicy blackberries, just the right amount of tartness, great fruit purree. Soft mouthfeel with foamy carbonation. Wow, this is amazing (but I also have a bit of a faible for blackberries)!

Can. Big purple foam, neon red cloudy. Fresh rasp and blackberry nose. nice tartness. Medium light foamy, berries lemon, sorbet foaminess, merengue sweetness, lovely.

Draft at Heist. Pours a clearish orange gold with a finger of quickly dissipating head. Orange and citrus focused nose but aromas are restrained. Sample at the brewpub. Brown-black pour with a medium tan head that diminishes steadily to a dense film. Patchy lacing. Roast malt, chocolate and hazelnut in the nose. Medium body with flavors of charred malt, hazelnut and chocolate. The finish is sweet and roasty with a hazelnut aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

Sample at the brewpub. Slightly hazy dark orange color with a medium off-white head that diminishes quickly to an outer ring. Strings of lace. Aroma of fruit, yeast, hops and malt. Medium body with flavors of citrus, peppery yeast, mild hops and malt. The finish is dry with an herbal yeast aftertaste. Decent overall.

Sample at the brewpub. Cloudy orange color with a medium white head that recedes steadily to an outer ring. Stringy lace. Aroma of citrus, hops and malt. Light-bodied with flavors of orange, floral hops, honey and malt. The finish is fruity with a honey and orange aftertaste. Decent overall.

Sample at the brewpub. Slightly hazed yellow-gold color with a thin white head that burns away quickly to a film. Short strings of lace. Aroma of grassy hops, yeast and malt. Light-bodied with flavors of mild grassy hop, floral honey, fruity yeast and malt. The finish is mildly hoppy with a touch of honey in the aftertaste. Decent overall.

Sample at the brewpub. Slightly hazy straw-gold color with a medium white head that evaporates gradually to a film. Sticky strings of lace. Herbal hops, fruit and malt in the nose. Medium body with a dank hoppy character and notes of tropical fruit and bready malt. The finish is mildly bitter with a fruity hop aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

Sample at the brewpub. Slightly hazy orange color with a thin white head that diminishes quickly to a wispy film. Sparse patches of lace. Aroma of citrus, grassy hops and malt. Light to medium body with flavors of grassy hop, fruit and bready malt. The finish is fruity with a mild hoppy aftertaste. Above average overall.
