Perfectly clear golden coloured body with a super large tan and off-white head that's beautifully microfoamed and tops the beer at around eight centimetres tall before fading slowly. Aroma of grass, hay, light malts, some flowers, yeast and bread, but a subtle smell of tropical fruits - very nice! Light-bodied; Very grassy bite at first with a herbal and perfumey hop characteristic with some light bitterness and fruity candy flavours on the edges, with a strong effervescence and bite, but still an easy-drinking and soft finish, and quite smooth, especially on the yeast front - for being a lager. Aftertaste is nice, dry, herbal, grassy and showing a good deal of tropical fruit notes from the hops, but alas, no bitterness from those hops - some slight bitterness and pungency from the lager yeast, but relatively subdued, especially for the style - the strongest thing here is the dryness and grass. Overall, a pretty nice option for what seemed as a dead style - not bad, especially for the summertime! Great to try as an American beer, back in the lower 48, celebrating Independence Day here in our nation's capital! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Gettysburg Beer Mart in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania on 12-May-2021 for US$4,49, canned on 28-January-2021, sampled at my house here in Washington on 04-July-2021 - July 4th after watching the fireworks with my family here in town.

Pours a slightly hazy golden yellow from a can. Nice tropical fruit aroma, rather thin in the mouth. Good beer.

16 ounce can. Barely translucent dark brown color. Large frothy tan head is enduring. Spotty lacing. Roasted malt aroma hints at spicy hops. Flavor upfront is bittersweet chocolate, spicy hops and resiny pine. Tobacco, coffee and dark roasted walnuts. Perhaps a bit of charred wood as well. Tasty.

5 oz. draft. Even when warm just the slightest coffee and weak oak. The flavor is no surprise. Slight coffee, weak roast and a mild oak finish. Wanted more with this brew.

Canned 1/7/22, drunk 1/27/22. Pretty much fully turbid here with the borderline concrete/thick orange juice appearance. White head is small, pretty flimsy. Smells great! Just a TON of citra, giving off a full on glass of orange juice. Definite bubble gum accents and honey-like malts complete the picture of a very by-the-books-NEIPA. Soft and lush with no hard edges, twang or booze. Some light saccharine character throughout, though maybe you could call it strawberry-vanilla notes. It's definitely soft, juicy, low on bitterness and big on bubble gum and honeyed malts. I don't know, there's something I don't care for at all here, as with most LHs. Just feels sluggish, saccharine-like, too much poignant bitterness on the finish and just not enough interesting malt depth or quite enough attenuation. May be quite some time, if ever, before I check in on Lord Hobo again. This doesn't feel like they've made much, if any, progress. The aroma was nice, though.

16 ounce can. Hazy pale gold color. Large pillowy white head. Perfumy hop aroma hints at tropical fruit. Flavor is light, bready malt, sweet citrus, pineapple and melon. Bittersweet notes of grapefruit and lemon in middle. A hint of dank pine on the backend. Brief dry finish.

Can pour on tap at the 13th annual NH Brewfest. It's a bright yellow with light sparkle, ring of white head with no lacing. Aroma is moderately strong stone fruit and citrus. Taste is more subtle than aroma. Nonspecific fruit and citrus. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with smooth, frothy texture, average carbonation and crisp finish as taste. Overall, neither terribly strong nor complex. Served quite cold so may have muted aroma/flavor.

Shaker pint at Gullifty’s in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. The pour is a murky brown golden with a minimal off white head. The aroma is light caramel along with some citrus and a touch of grain. The taste is a bitter orange, a bit of fruit, a bit of rind along with caramel malt that carries through the back. The palate is medium bodied with low carbonation and the malty soft bitter finish.
