Bottle from The Cider Vault. It pours orange - amber with a small fizzy white head. The aroma is a earthy, barnyard, musty, dirty, oak, sour apple and apple skin,. The taste is is firmly dry, plenty of tannin, earthy, wood, leather, apple skin, light tartness and powdery apple with a drying, tannin finish. Medium body and just a hint of carbonation. Quite robust stuff. Dry and tannic.

330ml bottle from Whole Foods, Kensington High St of all places. Pours deep rusty orange. Aroma is bristling spur apple. Taste presents a sharp acidicity, robust tannins, furry on the gums, with an oaky astringent edge. Very much a high-juice, real farmhouse cider
