Description
In 1995 Harry van de Wiel decided to establish the Stadsbrouwerij Rotterdam. The brewery is decorated in the style of the old town hall of Delfshaven, the wood-copper kettles in which brewing takes place are a good example of this. In the meantime Harry's son has taken over the stirring stick and continues his father's passion.

Bottled, BB 31 May 2014. Couple of months old. Large sample, also had it from draft before. Slight hazy golden color, medium creamy off-white head. Looks pretty good actually, unlike some other kuitbeers. Aroma is quite grainy, bit earthy hops, hint of soap. Bit bitter taste, bit malty, grainy. Not really strong in taste, bit boring actually. Easy drinker. Nothing wrong with it, just could use some more flavor.

Bottle courtesy of Deanso. Poured a cloudy medium amber with a broken off-white head. The aroma is rich red-berry cicrus fruit and spice. The flavour is medium to weak bitter, yeasty and with some pepper spice on the palate. I think it needs to be served cooler for all the good reasons and not to mask the flavour.

Bottle shared thanks to Deanso. Pours hazy orange with an off white head. Aroma of yeast, butter, caramel, light fruit and hair spray, it reminds me of my mum in the early 80s. Flavour is moderate sweet and light moderate bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.
