(Keg at One Pint Pub, 2014920) The beer poured golden and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had honey, grain and grass. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, sweetness, honey, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was sugrary, sweet and bittern. A too sweet brew.

Draught @ One Pint Pub. Aroma has honey and grain. Flavour is somewhat sweet with artifical honey, some grain and sticky tones. Honey beers are still not my thing.

Tap at One Pint Pub, Helsinki. Colour is clear light orange with small white head. Aromas and flavors: Sweetness, honey and some malts. Pretty easy body, sorry I don’t like honey, honeyish golden ale. Beer not for me.

Smell of base, hop. Dark amber colour, white head. Aroma of hops, caramel, earth. Oily. Soft carbon. Quite strong in ABV and flavour for an APA, lots of IPA-like qualities to be noted.

Tap at Kahdet kasvot, Tampere. Clear deep amber color, steady off-white beige head, lace. Oily hoppy aroma. Some resin. Medium-bodied. Bitter, fruity flavor with some strawberries. Nice slick oily palate. Decent start for this new brewery.

Draught @ Old Brick’s Inn, Jyväskylä
Aroma has strong raspberry notes. Also some toffee, hints of raspberries and malt. Feels slightly acidic. Flavour has strawberries, toffee, harsh malt, hints of green apples, vanilla and raspberries. Flavour is a bit acidic too. Finishes with lingering bitterness. Too much berries here, gets better towards the end of the glass though as the berries step aside and hops take over.

Draught. Very deep brown colour, close to black, with a mediumsized beige head. Aroma is floral, fruity, mild toasted notes along with a bit sweet malts to it as well. Flavour is sweet malts, mild toasted notes, quite big on the floral and fruity notes and also has some slight resiny notes to it. One of my most disliked beer styles, but this was actually quite pleasant.

Draught @ Kahdet Kasvot. Aroma is floury with licorice and hay. Also some distant hoppy tones with nettles. Flavour has licorice, some hoppy tones, hay and malty tones. Good, but lacks the resiny factor that makes BIPAs excellent and feels also slightly messy. More hops and more balace could do the trick. The licorice tones are nice here. Not bad to be the one of the first own beers from a brewery.

Pours dark brown, almost black with a smooth head. Aroma of roasty malts, grassy hops, licorice and dark chocolate. Taste is smooth, roasty and hoppy with some grassy notes, licorice and dark chocolate. Finish is roasty and grassy with some licorice. Okay, quite smooth and easy going black IPA.
