Draught@Tommyknocker, Helsinki. Amber colour, small white head. Aroma is alcohol, fruits, some floral notes along with mild gluelike sweetness. Flavour is peach, grass, alcohol, some slight toasted notes as well as some mild herbs.

Draught@Black Door, Helsinki. Hazy yellow colour with a mediumsized white head. Aroma is wheat, sour wood, citrus, mild yeast as well as some earth. Flavour is some slight sulphuric notes, wheat, citrus, yeast and mild toffeeish notes. A bit sour wood in the finish as well.

Tap@ Tommyknocker bar, Helsinki. Clear amber colored, thin white head. Glueish aroma, berries, strawberries, woody notes. Flavor has caramel, nuts, glue, sweetness. Quite unpleasant really.

Tap @ Black Door. Unclear golden, thick white head. Rubbery notes, fruits, sweetness. Flavor has rubber, berries, slight off notes. Not very pleasant. Pine in the finish later on.

Draught (backlog). Copper colour, small off-white head. Aroma is sweet berries, citrus, caramel and some slight toffeeish notes. Flavour is quite strong on the floral and grassy bitterness, but also has some nectar, sweet malts and mild grains to it. Tasty, even though quite a different take on a DIPA.

Reddish color, decent beige head. Strong pumpkin spicey aroma. Medium-bodied. Sweetish, malty with pumpkin spiceyness. I would say that this is very typical, well-brewed pumpkin beer. Unfortunately I don’t like them.

Murky yellow color, small steady white head. Sticky wheaty, gooseberryish aroma. Like in some modern weizenbocks. Medium-bodied. Wheaty, gooseberry hops, a bit glueish, white pepper spicey. Funny how this is close to many American style weizenbocks. Drinkability is ok. Crossover of several styles.

(Keg at Ølhus København, 20150403) The beer poured brown and cloudy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had clove, cinnamon, cardamom and caramel. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, molasses, cardamom, sweetness, stinging spiciness and low bitterness. Aftertaste was spicy and bitter. A too spicy brew for my liking.
