Cask at Akurrat, Stockholm. Feels like a while since I had a cask ale here. Pub floor aroma like. Gold look. Flat. Taste is quite tropical with a characteristic bitterness of NZ ales but ramped up with the cask. Unmistakably English but I'm not home sick enough yet to give any higher rating than it's worth.

Cask at The Crown, Eastbourne. Some pub toilet and passion fruit aroma. Gold colour. Heavy on the grass in taste. Crisp ending. Decent but can't understand awards.

Half-pint, gravicask at The River Ale House. Next-to-clear warm golden body, upper part lacing from a filmy layer. Lemony hops and cereal malts on the nose. Hop fruity taste with impacts of lemon and grapefruits, soft malty backbone. Mid-dry fruity bitterness to the finish. Medium bodied. Likeable, well treated at the micropub. Half-pint, gravicask, at River Ale House. Patches on the surface of a clear reddish-brown body, fair lacing. Inviting on the nose with grassy hops and mild caramel malts. Quite similar taste of caramel, grass, and dried fruits followed by a nice bittersweet finish. Medium bodied. Like it. (Greenwich, London 09.12.2023).

Cask at Brunswick, Derby. Pours a dark reddish-brown with minimal off-white head and good lacing. Thereโs malts and some hints of floral hops in the aroma. Dark fruits are prominent in the mouth alongside roast malts and raisins plus hints of berries and aniseed. Dried fruit lingers in the finish. Not at all bad, but I wouldnโt class it as a bitter. Maybe a mild or old ale ?

Cask at the Southampton Arms, London on 29th October 2023. Clear gold with shallow whitish foam and full lacing. Rich grassy hop aroma. Bitter, grassy and zesty in-mouth with a satisfying grassy and zesty finish. Light body and a smooth mouthfeel. Exquisite

Cask@Kitty's Helsinki. Goldeny amber colour with a small head. Aroma is nutty, some toffee, nice fruity and floral tones with some spruce to it. Flavour is nutty, toffeeish, some cookies, gentle bitterness with some floral tones to it. Good Bitter!

Cask at the Southampton Arms, London on 1st October 2023. Deep, almost impenetrable sepia with disappearing pale tan foam and spot lacing. Roasty malt aroma. Rich and intense roastiness in-mouth with hints of smoke and spices. A solid roasty finish. Medium bodied with a smooth mouthfeel.

Shared third of a pint at the 31st Shrewsbury Beer Festival in St Mary's Church on 28th September 2023. Beige head on an almost black body, roasted/toasted maltiness with hedgerow berries within the flavours.
