Cask at the Bell, Waltham St Lawrence. An attractive cherry red colour with a loose beige head; earthy aroma; earthy malt taste with a touch of caramel; pleasantly bitter, with a lingering leafy finish. Very enjoyable in the pub garden on a spring evening.

Cask, gravity at Banbury Beer Festival, Thursday 7th May 2015 I had this as my last beer of the night and let’s put it this way I’d had a few by this point and I had a thick head the following day. Pours black with a smattering of bubbles atop. Quite full on with lactic notes, a touch of fruit, maybe not as roasty as some, but I like it. A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov14 3.7

Fruity, malty taste with notes of citrus, mandarin, citrus peel and a balanced citric bitterness in a fairly sweet finish. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. Fresh and tasty, with a generous citrus character. Nice one.

Cask at CBC Clerko, 24/04/15. Clear golden with a decent off white cap that retains well. Nose is citric peel, orange, toasted malt, straw, lemon zest. Taste comprises light pine, orange pith, apricot, grassy notes, earthy hop. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, drying close with peppery hop bitterness. Decent hoppy number, in the APA category - hop presence & ABV stronger than that your typical golden blonde.
