(On tap) Clear pale flinty lemon color with no head. Aroma is primarily ginger with a hint of agave. Light bodied and fizzy. Flavor is ginger and sugary sweetness, with hints of agave. Drinkable but rather like ginger beer.

330ml bottle from the Oak Barrel. Straw-yellow golden colour, sparkling with a thin fizzy white head that quickly dissipates and aroma of apples, caramel, vanilla. Taste is sweet apple, sugary, with fruity white wine notes, and alittle tartness. Light bodied, spritzy carbonation, dry finish with residual sweetness. OK.

330ml bottle into schooner glass. Dark brown beer with nose of cocoa and dark fruit. Tan-coloured head which persists. Light zingy mouthfeel, some smoky maltiness. Finish is refreshing and lightly fruity. Looks like a stout, drinks like a lager. Nice.

330ml bottle into shaker. Excellent ’Weis Bar’ nose, all vanilla ice cream and mango. Some passionfruit too. Burnt translucent copper colour with thin solid head. Bit of a fruity zing on tasting then dry hop bitterness. The long palate is earthy with a touch of grain which I assume must be the rye. Nice enough and the alcohol is well hidden but seems to lack a bit of body and cohesion.

On tap at The Cidery Bar & Kitchen, pours a clear pale yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out medium sweetness and fairly crisp red apples. Flavour is along the same lines, with medium to high sweetness. Not complex but it's clean and drinkable. Decent.

330ml bottle into schooner glass. Sharp fiery ginger nose. Cloudy yellow/green cider, no head, highly carbonated. Spicy, zingy taste. Aftertaste is dry apples, spicy ginger, and an undefinable something which I assume is agave. The ginger heat lingers. Reminds me of Old Jamaica ginger beer. It’s good.
