Tap at the brewpub. Slight hazy golden with small white head. Light brown bread, dry malts, almonds, apricot, soft grassy hops. Quite malty but in a dry way, some soft fruits and hops but this is absolutely not an IPA. Under medium sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with a bit dry feel.

Deep dark brown colour, tall creamy tan head, good retention and light lacing. Aroma roasted malts, light coffee, cocoa, brown sugar, lactose. Taste light heavy sweet and slightly bitter, sweet malts, candy sugar, milk chocolate, lactose. Sweetbitter aftertaste, chocolate milk, light roast. Medium body, watery texture, soft carbonation, lacks some body but nevertheless a decent milk stout.

From the tap at Martinus. Pours hazy and orange, with limited white foam. Aroma is unconvincing: something sweet, some mandarin maybe. Body is medium with good carbonation. Taste is sweet, though this is supposed to be an IPA. Only some final bitterness, but very limited. Finish is uninteresting, I guess the IBM supercomputer has failed :) Our maybe this is suitable only for Groningers... ;-)

From the tap at Martinus. Pours very dark brown with cappuccino foam. Aroma is obviously smoked, but also has terrain. Body is medium with limited stickiness. Taste starts with some sweetness and ends with a hint of bitterness. Finish is relatively long and pleasant. A great smoked beer!

From bottle @ PRZH Winterbeerfest 2017. Dark, almost black color. Beige head. Aroma’s: smoke, tar, with some sweetness retronasal. Moderate sweet’n’bitter flavor, smoky. Medium bodied. Finishes moderate bitter, roasted. Nice!

Bottle at Winterbierfestival Gouda. Black with dark beige head. Lots of smoke, sweet chocolate, fudge, brown sugar, ash, dark prunes. Quite sweet and under medium bitter. Over medium bodied with slick feel.

8e Noordelijk SpeciaalBierfestival, Groningen, shared with #Deanso, from tap, black with a nice but limited light brown head. aroma and taste of smoked ham, bacon, roasted and toasted malts, cocolate, full malty, some laurel, chocolate, cacao, powder chocolate, a bit on the cold side served, medium body, still ok.
