(On tap) Clear pale golden with small white head. Aroma is citrus, peppery spice, slightly funky. Nice mouthfeel, quite light body but with plentiful fine carbonation giving soft texture. Tart start that declines a bit but is the dominant taste throughout. There's some nice peppery and earthy notes too and maybe a hint of yoghurt. Very interesting and refreshing.

Can, 7% ABV. Clear gold with a large white head. 3+ Vibrant citrus aromas (grapefruit, pomelo, yuzu) with some mango, passionfruit and light biscuit underneath. Pretty light bodied with carbonation on the high side of medium. Clean and sweet with more tropical fruit than suggested by the aroma. Some resin as a moderately high bitterness comes in at the end. Not quite as good as it smells. It's very nice but there's not a lot going on for its strength.

375ml can into shaker. Opens like a can of beans. Smells like standard euro-lager- bubblegum, toast, sweet malt. Pale amber beer, slight haze, large frothy white head. Very light carbonation. Flat mouthfeel, watery texture. Slight lemony bitterness at the end. Pushes no boundaries, standard lager.

(Can) Pours hazy amber with small white head. Nice aroma - pine with hints of stone fruit. Medium body with great carbonation. Taste is very well balanced, with light toffee malt and hops which are fruity and refreshing at the start and give a nice bitterness at the end. Very good.

375ml can into shaker. Hazy amber beer with a magnificent crown of pure white foam and light carbonation. Aroma is citric fruit and a little earthiness. Flat mouthfeel. Light body. Taste starts with subtle pine then finishes with hops, herbs and (very) late umami notes.

Tap, 90ml taster. Deep amber with an off white head that lasts really well. Big surprise: no overt alcohol in the aroma. Bread, crusts, pine, plums , kumquats. Very sweet indeed - bread, coffee, greengages, nagging citrus, some pepper. The bitterness is enough to tame the sweetness. It’s not hot, it’s not harsh, it’s not sludgy _or_ thinned by booze. Hard to rate - on the one hand it’s clearly overcome the challenges of making an 18% pale ale quite brilliantly; on the other, why make one at all? Presumably so idiots must try it. Tap. Deep gold with a white head. A: dough, bananas (too much for me), cloves, some overt alcohol. A little sticky, medium to full body. Toasted grain, dough, peach, less banana than feared. Pretty sweet, but dries out a little. Spicy and quite bitter at the end. Tripelish.

Tap - 90ml taster. Very black with a brown head that’s soon at the rim but last there. Aroma of mocha, pears, Port, Muscat. Boozy, but not excessively so. Not all that heavy, a bit of alcohol thinning I guess - low carbonation, perhaps because I got to this one last. Mocha, caramel syrup, fairly strong roasted malt, licorice. Fairly strong bitterness struggles against the sweetness. Not much of a bass note. Fruit flavours get swamped. I guess I didn’t want more of everything.
