375ml can from Porters Liquor, Bexley. Reddish tinged dark brown colour, bubbly tan foam head and aroma of malt caramel, orange citrus, hops. Taste is sweetish malty, roasted, tangy, caramel, toffee, dried fruit, with earthy citrusy hop bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, drying earthy hopped bitter finish. Nicely drinkable.

Can. Clear gold, modest white head. Aroma is bready with lemon and some spices. Sweet and heavier than I'm keen on; bready with modest spicy bitterness. Dull.

Press hazy gold, large white head.
Nose shows pine, grapefruit, resinous hops, clean malt.
Flavours include more pine and resinous hops along with marmalade and a gentle bitterness.

From a 375ml can on 4/7/2025. Pours a deep cola brown with a smallish light tan head. The nose is a bit odd - more herbal and grassy than anything with maybe some light tobacco. Taste wise, there's some dark chocolate, roasted malt, and some more herbal stuff coming through, with a moderate bitterness that's a bit more subdued than typical for the style. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Drinkable but a bit lacking in oomph and character.

Can. Dark brown with an inch of beige head. Leafy herbal aroma - spearmint, pine needles, green dope - with mocha and bread well underneath. The herbal notes are prominent but not so dominant upon a sip. Dryish, leafy bitter finish. Way too much of the addition. Perhaps spoon selection rather than hand selection would have been better.

Can. Fairly hazy orange with a loose white head. Squishy tropical fruit aroma with lychee, papaya, mango and a little citrus, crackers. Only a little sweet with lots of fruit, mere hints of twiggy herbs at the end. Kind of tails off a bit at the end. A pretty good example of a style I still rarely love.
