4/6/2018. Cask at the Half Moon, Darlington. Pours pale gold with a small just off-white head. Aroma of biscuit, citrus, yeast, malt, grain and a hint of apple. Moderate sweetness, bitterness and body. Slight oily texture, soft carbonation. Not bad.

Cask at Half Moon, Darlington. Golden amber colour, white foam head and pale malty, yeasty aroma. Taste is malty, grainy, some biscuit with citrusy hop bitterness. Light bodied, soft carbonation, dry tangy bitter finish. Quite OK.

[ As Captain Cook Botany Bay ].Clear medium amber orange color with a small to average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, spicy, dusty. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration, spicy, spicy malt, pale malt, caramel. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20151006] 6-3-6-3-12

Tried at the BrewPub, White Swan In Stoksley. Golden colour with a white head. Aroma citrus and floral orange blossom. Light sweet to big refreshing bitter finish.

Cask @ Dirty Dick’s, Halifax. Lightly hazed golden ale with a creamy head. It’s crisp and arguably sessionable for its strength as there’s a mild citrus fruitiness here, with a smoothness when travelling down the palate.

[ As Captain Cook Red Bay ].Clear medium to dark amber color with a average, open and frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, fruity - berry, sweet malt, toffee. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a long duration, sweet malt, candy - toffee, wood - berry notes. Body is medium to light, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20141010]
