Description
Fresh, Fun, Approachable, Hop-Forward

Hey there! We're Offshoot Beer Co. from your friends at The Bruery. Offshoot is the Bruers' playground, where we dive deep into the world of hop-forward beers. While we could definitely geek out on the intricacies of making these beers, we'd rather just open a cold one and...Relax.

What is Offshoot?

Years ago our founder Patrick Rue made a promise to NEVER brew an IPA. As time went on, our adventurous Bruers KNEW they could make world class hop-forward beers, so Offshoot was born as an offshoot of The Bruery, all while keeping Patrick's promise that The Bruery would NEVER make an IPA.

Where The Bruers Relax

Offshoot is what The Bruers drink when they're off the clock. Nothing better to help you Relax, Escape, Retreat, or Coast.

Can to tulip.
Appearance: cloudy orange to copper color with a one finger white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: tropical fruity to citrusy hop notes, light clean malts
Flavor: blends the prior noted aromas together semi-sweet with a little bit of juiciness; light finish of some tropical fruits and clean malts
Texture: medium bodied, sessionable, semi-juicy smooth along the tongue, very low hop bitterness
Overall: nice enough NE styled IPA I could come back to.

Thanks Damon.

Crowler poured into a tulip.
Appearance: thick hazy burnt orange with a thin cap of a little white foamy head which slid off nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: peachy to nectarine and some lemony hops smooth themselves over some light clean bready malts
Flavor: melds the prior noted aromas together in a juicy bittersweet sort of manner; light peachy to lemony finish
Texture: medium bodied, somewhat sessionable, nice low carb, pretty smooth along the tongue. Very low bitterness
Overall: a very nicely done NE styled IPA I would definitely have again.

16 oz. can from Total Wine. Pours a hazy gold color with a large off-white head and great retention. Great lacing. Lots of streaming carbonation. Off-smelling malt aroma. Is that agave? The taste is similar to the aroma, with the same strange flavor mixing with the pale malts. Old can? It says it was canned on 3/27/23! Thanks for nothing, Total Wine! I'm sure it's better when it's fresh. Medium-light body. Medium carbonation. Not bitter. Not fresh.

This one pours very hazy orange with numerous big suspended yeast particles. Smells of citrus and piney hops. The flavor is very malty. It’s danky and citrusy tasting, an enjoyable beer that doesn’t wow me.
