75cl bottle from the brewery, shared with Anke & PIeter. Vintage 2022. Hazy yellow, small, white head. Aroma of unripe grape, plum, white wine, oak, vanilla, lemon zest, vague clove. Taste has sour lime, grape & gooseberry in a sourdough-like, sour-creamy malt body surrounded by notes of vanilla, herbs & lemon acid. Tart finish, lingering lime, oak (woody tannins as well) and herbs hinting at tobacco. Medium body, slick texture, average carbonation. Structured and interesting BA Sour.

(Draught at Gist, Brussels, 22 Oct 2023) Black colour with creamy, beige head. Malty, roasted, hoppy nose with notes of liquorice, espresso, cacao, mint and pine needles. Malty, roasted, hoppy taste with liquorice, prunes, coffee, caramel, pine needles, grapefruit, slightly burnt flavours and a balanced citric/piney bitterness. More than medium body, with a certain sweetness. Tasty and quite complex porter, leaning in the black IPA direction. Very nice.
