We make lower alcohol craft beers, so-called session ales. Our beers are full flavor crafts, but easy on the alcohol.. By using lots of hops in our recipes the taste is as you would expect of a passionately crafted beer!
So, what’s Heaps? Heaps is Australian slang, often used to say there is a lot of something. They use it for almost anything, such as ‘heaps of stars’, ‘heaps of fun’ and ‘heaps cool’. It was in Australia where the idea for Heaps of Hops beers was born during a round the world motorbike trip in 2016. After drinking many local beers and tasting some great lower alcohol beers, the idea for Heaps of Hops came to life.
Our motto is ‘because less is more’. We brew with less malts and more hops. Therefore our beers have less alcohol but more taste, and less calories to keep you more fit!

0.33 l bottle from 'Sterk Avondverkoop', best before May 2018. Clear, orangeish amber with a medium large, foamy, stable, white head. Sweetish, rather fruity, slightly grassy and a bit resiny aroma of mango, orange, peach and some pine. Slightly sweet, moderately bitter, quite fruity, grassy and slightly resiny taste of mango, orange, some pine and a touch of grapefruit, followed by a short, moderately bitter, rather dry, grassy and slightly resiny finish. Thin to medium body, quite effervescent mouthfeel, lively carbonation. Really well-made session stuff, quite dry and hoppy with just little residual sweetness left, just a bit too much carbonation.

33 cl bottle @ home. Batch VW201704, bbe May 2018. Pours a golden color, slightly hazy. Frothy white head with reasonable retention. Aroma's: grainish and fruity. Retronasal it's fruity, light grainish sweet. Flavor is light grainish sweet, fruity. Light bodied, but not too thin due to firm carbonation. Short finish, light grainish. I guess a bigger heap of hop would have been an improvement.

Clear pale amber colour, small frothy white head, mostly diminishing, minimal lacing. Aroma light brett, basement, floral hops, hint of vinegar, coriander. Taste medium sweet and bitter, very light acidity, light brett, spicy notes. Sweetbitter aftertaste, again light brett and vinegar (esp. retronasal), peppery, fruity bits. Light body, watery texture, soft carbonation, a very mild and almost neutral saison, hmm don't know what to think about this one.
