750mL bottle, pours a clear / hazy golden with a medium white head. Aroma brings out lots of farmhouse yeast, some pepper, and a lovely spiciness. Flavour is pretty solid, with Belgian yeast, pepper and spiciness, just as in the nose. Nice balanced of flavours - no residual sweetness. Nicely done saison, especially for a North American attempt.

Can from the brewery. Almost black pour with slight burgundy highlights underneath a big frothy khaki head that clings to the glass and lasts forever. Nose is lots of roast and molasses accompanied by an equal measure of pine and citrus hops. Taste is medium light toffee, coffee and cocoa supporting a big hop bitterness with pine, citrus and grass. Medium creamy mouth with soft carbonation and a lingering bitter finish. Big bold flavours integrate the alcohol well.

Can from the brewery. Cloudy pale amber with a generous fluffy white head that leaves good lace. Nose is light bread and some light floral hops. Light toffee and corresponding light bitterness. Medium mouth with average carbonation and light bitter finish. Decent enough.

A hazed golden ale with a thin lacing white head. In aroma, nice fruity biscuit malt with light banana, cloves, floral hops, grapefruit pulp, very nice. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity biscuit malt with resinous green floral hops, light cloves, herbaceous, nice and smooth. On tap at Arrow and Loon.

473ml can brought back from Canada by Sarah. Unfiltered orange-yellow body. Frothy off-white head. Crisp mild lemony tinged hops, maybe some amarillo too. Thin pale golden malt body almost like a Golden Ale or Session IPA. Pretty good, sensible Canadian/UK feel. Very sessionable. OK.

Can from the LCBO. Pours a golden colour with minimal carbonation, a foamy-frothy white head, good retention and some lacing. For a blonde ale, I quite like the aromas. Cereal grain, caramel, honey and some beautiful grassy hops. The hops are not as strong in the taste, which is fine, as this would be a APA if so. Still, some nice mild spiciness over the grain malts. Written unfiltered, but not really hazy, even with the excessive swirl of the can. A nice grainy Blonde Ale.

Tasting at Matt’s, can
Dark brown color, medium sized head. Aroma of pungent hops, a bit cheesy too; atypical but interesting. Nice dark malts, dry but chocolatey, with a gourmet coffee side; massive amount of hops that provide a lot of pungent resins, some bitter orange peel. A bit dusty.
Aggressive, very good.

Tasting at Matt’s, can; 9% ABV
Cloudy light amber color, small head. Nice hoppy aroma, fruity and citrusy, tropical fruits. The body is lean, the malt profile is quite good, but the hopping is weird, with too much vegetables, irn.
Seems unfresh.

500mL can, sent from wilco (thanks a lot, Mike), pours black with a small brown head. Nose brings out lots of roasted malt upfront, with some chalky notes and only a slight bit of hops. Flavour brings out earthy caramel malt, and piney hops, only a touch of roast. Very well-balanced and not harsh in any way. Finishes with a touch of caramel. Very good.

500mL can, sent from wilco (thanks a lot, Mike), pours a cloudy opaque dark orange with a small beige head. Aroma is very earthy and dirty, with fungal notes and earthy hops. Flavour brings out earthy and resinous hops upfront, with a touch of fungal notes. Big dry malt backbone. Not terribly complex or drinkable, but pretty solid. Good, but overrated in my opinion.
