We particularly enjoy brewing old style beers such as porters, stouts and milds. We also produce an extensive range of pale beers and never miss an opportunity to create something new.
Our brewery is set in a beautiful rural location with a quirky little taproom and peaceful outdoor spaces.

Kissingate black cherry mild 4.2% cask at the GBBF. It’s a deep black with a ruby highlights. Malty maple syrup and cherry aroma. Medium bodied with a smooth mouthfeel. The taste is molasses and cherry. Kind of off-puttingly artificial. Disappointing.

Cask gravity at 32nd WHOAF. It pours near black with a small tan head. The nose is rich, roasty, earth, tar, treacle, charred wood, fudge and chocolate . The taste is smooth, roasty, cocoa, charry wood, toast, tar, treacle, spice, coffee, ash and dirt with a dry, woody finish. Fullish body and fine carbonation. Punchy stuff. Nice work.

Cask @ The Angel, Manchester [311014]
Black, ruby edges, dense beige head
Aroma - soft mellow roast, dab of cocoa, soft light coffee, getting the cherry
Taste - soft roast, chocolate, soft coffee, lot of black cherry flavour here but I don’t really like this
Palate - Medium body, smooth texture. Finish of soft choc, touch of dry roast
Overall - The addition of cherries ruins it for me and they are too prominent. Could only have a few sips.
