Dull amber colour. Gourdy nose with light spice. Bland. Watery body, vague spice and caramel/earth accents. If this was a soup Iβd say they forgot the salt.

Dark brown body. Thick, slightly rocky light brown head. Aroma leads with a fair bit of roast and dark chocolate, with light woody hops underneath. I bought it because itβs made with whey...this shows mainly in a slightly creamy body. That creaminess balances off a fair roastiness. A solid outing.

On tap at Rock Bottom, Seattle. Black with brown edges, beige head. Has all the requisite components of choc/coffee malts, bit of sour liquorice. Has some complexity, still feels as though it is not fully brewed out.

On tap at Rock Bottom, Seattle. Reddish copper, thin beige head. Sugar candy, bit of whisky, sweet malt character. Basically thin and bad, dry malt finish.

On tap at Rock Bottom, Seattle. Copper with a bit of haze. Citrus aroma. Some hop, but this is awful too. Woody hop. No real character. Not great either.

On tap at Roc k Bottom, Seattle. Gold colour with a pukey malt, artifical lemon, stale saaz aroma and flavour. Not nice. Unfortunately things didnβt get much better as the sampler tray went on ...

Draught Orange golden with a reddish shine; small, fine white head. Very hoppy & fruity nose, instead of the usual grapefruit, Iβd say freshly cut melon, this time. Nice. Fruity, restrained sweetness, tad of citrus, maybe again some melon; ends however very neutral (too chilled). Light body, restsweetness models the aftertaste alone. A bit of punch, and a non-Bud temperature, please!

Draught No head; brandy colour, bit lifeless visually. Interesting mix of whiskey & bananaester, lots of fuselalcohols, vanilla, oakwood and even some tannines in the nose. Sweet-alcoholic, banana- and meat esters, but all these are dominated by the Bourbon cask flavours. Heavy alcoholburn, rather thin body, just alcoholic slickness. I keep to my idea. Most of RBβs beers are craftbeers for lagerdrinkers.

Draught No head; slightly hazy orange-gold beer. Bit of rainwater, white candi sugar and sweet alcohol, all discreet as nose. Pretty alcoholic taste, attenuation is definitel allright, finish is VERY alcoholic, nearly to exclusion of anything else. Lots of alcoholburnt, medium bodied, bit slick. Terribly alcoholic - compared to the Bourbon cask aged version, it is already halfway there.
