De brouwerij is gevestigd in de historische Hoeve Nicolaï waar zich al vanaf 1642 een kleinschalige brouwerij bevond. De huidige gebouwen vormen een authentiek industrieel monument anno 1743 in het hart van het streekdorpje Wilderen. In 2007 kochten Mike Janssen en Roniek Van Bree dit complex en restaureerden de, sterk in verval geraakte, gebouwen. Een hedendaagse brouwerij en distilleerderij, een imposante alcoholstokerij uit 1890 en een monumentale Haspengouwse vakwerkhoeve maken tegenwoordig deel uit van dit unieke complex waar sinds augustus 2011 bieren en destillaten worden geproduceerd.

Clear orange beer, big creamy irregular off-white head, stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: some solvents, grains, hay, hint of caramel, little fruity, some pears. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: malty, lots of cow fodder, hint of sulphur, very malty, bitter touch, bit grassy. Aftertaste: soapy bitterness, lots of grains, very malty finish.

Bottle. dark brown color. Caramelaroma with a hint of chocolate. Malty sweet caramelly flavor. Alcohol well hidden. Uninteresting, but very drinkable.

Bottle. Huh?? Is lambic involved in the product? Brown color with a red haze. Cherry juice in the aroma. Sugary sweet cherry flavor. Cherry sweets all over the place, NO room for other flavors. But OK, its Drinkable.

Bottle. Gusher. Pours amber-brown. Aroma and flavor are sweet, boozy, sugary, malty, Belgian yeast. Overall: okish, minus the gushing.
