450ml bottle as Edelweiss Wheat Beer. Brewed in Russia, but with the same description (“mountain herbs” and and so on). Pours hazy with a tall head. Aroma is spices, artificial wheat and fruit aromatizer. Taste is medium sweet, the same artificial flavouring, spices. Light bitter finish. Too artificial.

0.65 l bottle from 'Super U' (Seltz), best before July 2022. Clear, amber with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, white head. Sweetish, gently fruity-floral aroma of grains, light straw and traces of apricot. Gently sweet, moderately bitter, quite fruity-floral taste of grains, apple, corn, light straw and a touch of iron, followed by a short, gently bitter, slightly metallic and a little boozy finish. Medium body, gently effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Really strange beer, very unpleasant, hardly drinkable. Drainpour.

Bottle at Σήμερον έχει παγωτό or translated into English 'He has ice cream today Café 😂. Had this after a hot and very boring road walk from our campsite, Wednesday 1st September 2021. Apparently this is marketed under different names including Biere d'Alsace in UK supermarkets, so probably 20+ years ago I would have been buying the 10-12 packs from Sainsbury's. Pours gold, good clarity, with a white head. Middling bitterness, it's refreshing, it's ok.

A éviter.

clear dark golden to amber colour, medium sized creamy yellowish ecru head; aroma and taste of grainy, fruity (dried apricot), some wine cellary-yeasty and cardboard notes; not that bad
