Can (7.0% ABV). Deep golden body with lots of flecks beneath a thin off-white head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of pine and burnt orange. Flavour of caramel and pine. Medium body with an oily texture. Soft fizz. I love these amber coloured, high IBU American IPAs.

Bottle at Brewdog, Birmingham, sampled April 2017. Pours light hazy, dark gold/amber with a cream head. Aroma: malty & hoppy with honey hints. Taste: robust, complex malty & hoppy with notes of orange, coriander. Warming, bittersweet finish. Medium body with frothy carbonation. Decent.

can. pours dark orange, orange head. wow. dark. Aroma not as strong as I had expected. Pine and grapefruit. Very high bitterness, some aromatic and some just herbal hoppy bitter. Bitterness is quite tasty but off the charts, the bitterness is mostly like grapefruit flesh, only perhaps a bit more bitter. nice malty base that does not get in the way of the agressive but still aromatic and rounded bitterness. A great sipper IIPA

Vintage bottle from the Master of Malt Bargain Bin. It pours is clear golden - amber with a thick, fluffy white head. The aroma is soft, doughy bread, honey cake, honeydew melon, pear, apple and sponge cake. The taste is smooth, bitter - sweet, big hit of melon medley, poached pear, apple, tinned fruit cocktail, hearty malt character, honeyed grain, rustic bread loaf, sponge cake, touch of spice and a kick of booze with a smooth melon cake finish. Medium - fulsome body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Perhaps a touch sweet. A hearty number.

Bottle. Master of Malt. Apparently if you live in Israel this beer is shit. Anyway. Clear, deep copper colour. Thin and dense, lasting, semi lacing beige head. Nose has ripe stone fruit. Some coffee malt. Melted brown sugar. Taste is sweet and vinous. Gets a little dry and bitter. Super smooth mouthfeel easy belies the 9%. Fine carbonation. Lingering vinous bitterness to finish. It’s like Westvleteren tackle.

Vintage bottle, picked up for the bargain price of £5.48(!). It pours lightly hazy amber with a orangey hue and thick, fluffy off-white head. Head lasts from start to finish. The aroma is funky, musty, barnyard, brett, gooseberry, white grape, sherbet, damp oak, hay, bitter orange peel, spice, farmhouse bread and sourdough. The taste is firmly dry, bitter, earthy, wood, spicy, hay, slightly metallic, deep funk, barnyard, dirty brett, orange peel, tangerine, splash of Irn Bru, damp grass, herbal, farmhouse bread and straw with a drying finish. Medium body and moderate+ foamy lively carbonation. Has aged well. Brett has properly taken hold. Good American Orval-style beverage. Quaffs good.

Can from The Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours dark copper/amber with a slight white head. Amber malt aroma - like a Marzen - with a hint of some kind of fruit. Med body. Flavor is amber malt with some spice, perhaps a touch of citrus, and tho I hate to say it, vanilla. Reasonably towards dry. Nicely towards bitter. Overall it's a good drink.

Taste is bready sweet. Some bitterness. Rich and silky on the palate. Soft carbonation. Lingering leafy bitterness to finish. Mega tasty, but overall a bit chewy.

Can from Total Wine in Folsom, CA. Pours bright gold with a large, but transient, foamy white head. Smells lemon with some breadiness following. Med body, almost. Flavor is lemon soda with bread - or soaked in bread - or ? Still it's ok as a radler. Good lake beer - gotta watch the ABVs.
