Very pale, bright citra, big citra taste, fruity, solid pale malt, and orange and lychee. Heavy on the lupulin powder, but still nice.

473mL can, pours a cloudy peachy yellow with a small white head. Nose is massively juicy, with loads of tropical stone fruits, piney hops, light citrus, and biscuity malt. Flavour is massively juicy, with truckloads of tropical stone fruits, some pith, juicy piney hops, and biscuity malt. So damn juicy and wonderfully balanced, with no residual bitterness. Excellent.

On tap at Darby's Gastown, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma is loaded with piney hops upfront, with light tropical fruitiness and crisp crackery malt. Flavour is quite sweet, with tropical pithy fruits, piney hops and sweet biscuity malt. I suppose the piney hop oils impart a fair bit of residual sweetness here. A bit too sweet for my tastes, but this is still really nicely done.

Tall can. Canned on 2017-12-23. Pours a slightly hazy golden with a white head. Aroma is tropical fruits. Usual for Mosaic hops. Similar taste. Good one for Mosaic fans, however, unforunately, I am not.

Draught, Darby’s Gastown. Light amber with just a touch of haze, and a bubbly, frothy head. All kinds of dank, weedy mosaic on the nose, with some gentle biscuity malts and a dash of alcohol. On the palate, this comes across quite sweet, with a moderate grapefruit bitterness, and a hearty dose of alcohol. There’s quite a bit of sweetness underpinning this, providing structure. That said, there's certainly moments with this comes across as a little too chewy. I’d say maybe too boozy, too, but this is an IIPA and alcohol is part of the style...I just personally prefer these same characteristics without the alcohol. It’s funny how a beer that is probably better than Pliny today nevertheless is viewed as imperfect, knowing that 10 years ago Pliny was IIPA perfection.

Cloudy yellow. Piney grapefruit hop nose. Big cat pissy citrus hop palate with a medium strong hop finish. Decent, but I don't care for it.

Can: Poured a somewhat hazy blonde color ale with a medium size foamy head with light retention and minimal lacing. Aroma of tropical fruits notes with light residual sugar notes. Taste is a mix of tropical fruits notes with residual sugar notes and pineapple notes can also be detected. Body is about average with medium carbonation. Enjoyable IPA even though hops could shined even more.

473 ml can. Pours a very dark brown with moderate tan head that settles quickly. Aromas of ginger, cinnamon, and sweetened chocolate. Lots of ginger. Flavors of ginger, cayenne pepper, and slick roasted malts. Possibly some vanilla and soy sauce. Lots of ginger. A more subtle use would have allowed the other flavors to play.

Tall can. Canned on 2017-10-11. Pours a very dark brown with a beige head. Aroma is ginger, peppers, and some coffee. Taste is a disaster - tons of spicy ginger with peppers with some roasted malts. One sip (literally!) of these extremly overspiced bomb was more than enough for me. The only beer from Superflux that went to the sink so far. I think it was a big mistake from the three companies I like to create this spicy, terrible monster.
