Description
We’re a smalltown brewery creating some of the tastiest beers by hand the whole way. Our team brews and packages all our beers in Uralla on our 20HL manual pneumatic brewhouse. Our brewery is small, we brew a lot of batches to keep up and the beer is fresh! We respect traditional beer styles and go hard with our hoppy IPAs.

Can. Hazy straw gold with a wisp of a white head. 3- Aroma of a melange of citrus, some peach, crackery dough. Medium bodied, carbonation could be a little higher for this sort of thing. Sweet and a little doughy as well as fruity with a finish that only nods towards dry and bitter but has some nice hard spicy notes. Doesn't offer enough for >7% ABV but it's pretty good.

From a 375ml can on 30/6/2021. Pours a slightly hazy glden with a small head. The nose is a bit floral and perfumey. Tastes moderately sweet with some citrus and stone fruit, but not juicy like a typical hazy. Has some honeyed and candied notes, with firmish bitterness countering the sweet stuff nicely. The mouthfeel is slick, the carbonation moderate. Unusual, distinctive and very enjoyable.

Can. Dark brown with a beige head that fizzes away. 3- Aroma of dried fruit- raisins, banana- liquorice , some coffee, spices. More malty and sweet things join the taste and it’s deeper and better than suggested by the aroma. Strong bread, chocolate, dried fruit, the forest floor nut meal. Just leans enough to bitter at the end. Good.

Bottle. Viscous pour. Black with a brown head that lightens as it fades to a tan cm. Loads of whisky in the aroma but no overt booze. Pralines, mocha underneath. Taste follows - it's one of those BA beers where the main driver is the whisky not the stout. Smooth textured with vanilla and chocolate, coffee, singed caramel, hints of roast. A little fumy but not hot with bitterness and oak creeping up towards the end to stow things away at the end. I like the stout to boss the show more than it does here but this is good.

From a 375ml can on 27/4/2021. Pours a slightly opaque golden with a medium head. Has a light and pleasant nose featuring lemon and honey. Tastes of sweet orange up front against a biscuit malt background, with lots of honey in the middle, and finishing with a reasonably firm quite lemony bitterness. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Restrained yet interesting and very enjoyable. Very nice beer.

Froma 500ml can on 10/3/2021. Pours a slightly opaque light to medium golden with an uneven medium head. The aroma is lightly dank and fruity. Has lots of sweet tropical and citrus sweetness on the sip, then finishes with some relatively firm piney hops. Full bodied with moderate carbonation. As per the blurb on the can, it's a bit of mix of east and west coast, but it comes together nicely. So far, New England gear has probably been a bit more miss than hit for mine, but this one is very enjoyable.

375ml can into schooner. From brewery. Pours a translucent amber with high fine carbonation. Nose is lightly fruity. Smooth texture with a light zing at the end. Coconut is obvious in the finish, lingering lime a little later. Quite bitter too, showing the IPA underneath. Very nice, not as reminiscent of 'sunscreen' as some coconut beers.

(Can) Lovely looking beer - black with ruby highlights and dense tan head. Great aroma of banana and hints of toffee. Full body, thick and creamy with pleasant prickly fine carbonation. Great rich complex taste,; where to start? There’s toffee sweetness through the palate. This is balanced with some good bitter notes, with some burnt sugar to them. There’s banana notes through the palate. There’s some raisin too. Very good.

From a 375ml can on 17/2/2020. Pours a deep brown with a small head. Has a strong coffee nose with some chocolate. Taste wise, it's quite sweet, with oodles of milk chocolate, with a strong coffee finish. Has a slightly creamy mouthfeel with moderate carbonation. This is pretty straight forward but really enjoyable. I've generally been disappointed with New England brews I've tried to date, but this is really nice stuff. Dessertish, approachable and quite impressive.
