473mL can, pours a clear pale golden with a medium white head. Aroma bursts with intense Riwaka—so much of that spicy piney hop tang—with more of the gooseberry from the Nelson in back, and a crisp biscuity malt base. Flavour is likewise vibrant, with big oily, piney, spicy hop tang, a touch of gooseberry, and crisp biscuity malt. Bright, with great clarity; wonderful expression of the NZ hops, especially the Riwaka.

473 ml can. Pours a deep reddish brown/mahogany with moderate head. Aromas of candi sugar, fruity belgian yeast, cherrywood, and dry toasted malts. Flavors follow same with additional raisins, esters and minerals. Pretty much on target though not too complex and lacking some body. Quite nice for a BC Belgian.

Can. Almost clear pale gold with a good cm of white head. 6+ Shy citrus aroma with hints of stone fruit. More expressive upon a taste with those fruit joined by peppery bitterness after firmish light bready malt. Not bad, let down by a tentative aroma.

Slight haze, thin head. Fruity, balanced. A bit of alcohol, estery depth. I’d say it’s a decent dubbel, some orangey notes.

Pale, slight haze, moderate bitterness, sort of a grassy mushroomy hop character.

Opaque, hop burn and some pale fruit hop stuff. Low malt and it needs to be higher, the balance feels a bit off.

Poured from 473mL can (pkg 2025/12/05). Medium dark copper brown with small beige head. Belgian yeast, some dark fruits and esters, feint earthy toffee and caramel, light dry booze on the finish. For a straight up North American quad, not bad.

On tap at Threefold, pours a deep dark reddish brown with a small beige head. Aroma has some tart red fruits, some Belgian yeast, and a touch of toffee. Flavour is gently estery and yet not too sweet, with dried fruit, some toffee, bready malt, and lightly spicy Belgian yeast. Carbonation isn’t high enough—typical of North American Belgian beers. Pleasant enough but not hitting the right notes.

On tap at Threefold. Pours a murky ruddy brown with a small beige head. Raisins, dried cherries, dry caramel, and Belgian yeast on the nose. Flavour has loads of raisins, dried fruits, cherry pits, a bit leathery, dry caramel, and estery Belgian yeast. The yeast coming through maybe a touch too estery for me, but not bad. Nice, the fruit adjuncts work well with the base.

On tap at Threefold. Pours a very murky yellow with a white head. Lots of very pithy citrus and some pine on the nose. Flavour has pulpy oranges, pith, some dry pine, lots of chalk; finishes quite dry. Way too gritty and pithy.
