On tap at Threefold, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma has gentle woody pine and crisp biscuity malt in good, restrained cohesion. Flavour is crisp and clean, with quite a vibrant woody, piney hop expression, with a dry biscuity malt base. Vibrant, piney, potent hop expression for a 5% pale, with excellent balance. Great stuff.

On tap at Threefold, pours a cloudy golden yellow with a small white head. Nose is all terpenes, with mega-dankness—very pot-like—not much hops, though hard to distinguish. Flavour is unpleasant, with palate-clobbering terpenes dominating in a pretty distasteful way. Not good.

On tap at Threefold, pours a cloud yellow with a small white head. Nose has moderate hopburn, dankness, and some allium. Flavour is super juicy, with lots of tropical stone fruits, moderate dankness, and a touch of allium. Juicy, somewhat sweet, nicely dank, little hopburn. Pretty good for a hazy.

Bright, bubbly head. Biscuity malt, a somewhat toasty hop and some hing in there. One day I will figure out where that comes from. Sweetish palate, yeah that is an unusual hop character on this.

May 11, 2026 (8/4/7/3/16=3.8): Poured from 473mL can (forgot it in the back of the fridge; pkg 2026.02.24). Clear gold with white head. Slightly dank, almost juicy, NZ hop tang, almost a slight creaminess about the malt which is odd for a pils, but fits together with the rest of the beer. Decent.
Mar 28, 2026 (8/4/6/3/15=3.6): Poured from the tap @ Superflux. Clear gold with small white head. Aroma has nice dank NZ hops. Taste is a bit subdued. Could be age, I have a can at home to compare.

473mL can, pours a clear pale golden with a medium white head. Aroma bursts with intense Riwaka—so much of that spicy piney hop tang—with more of the gooseberry from the Nelson in back, and a crisp biscuity malt base. Flavour is likewise vibrant, with big oily, piney, spicy hop tang, a touch of gooseberry, and crisp biscuity malt. Bright, with great clarity; wonderful expression of the NZ hops, especially the Riwaka.
