Schwarz wie Motoröl, schöner Guinness-Schaum. In der Nase deutlich Kaffee. Im Trunk ebenso, wennschon schön ummantelt mit Milchschokolade. Gefährlich gut trinkbar, cremig, süffig, süß, geiles Teil.

37,5cl Fles van Beer Republic. Mistig diepgouden kleur, geen kraag. Funky, zuur, eikenhout, hout, vanille, citroen, steenvruchten, fris. Lichte body. Mooi gelaagd bier, erg lekker, wel flink zuur.

500ml bottle. Cloudy, dark auburn colour with minimally late awakening, small, creamy, fading, off-white to beige head. Yeasty fruity, yeasty spicy and mildly funky, yeasty aroma, notes of morello, blue grapes, cranberry, a touch of plum, rather vinous fruitiness in general, weak, woody, oaky, minimally tannic overtones. Taste is yeasty fruity, slightly yeasty spicy and funky yeasty, slightly woody, caramel malty basis with low residual sweetness, hints of cranberry, blue grapes, a touch of bramble, oak, leather, a tannic touch. Slightly acid thinned, creamy-oily texture, smooth and soft, minimally greasy, simultaneously minimally astringent palate, very fine, soft carbonation. Style adequate, but quite basic in a way, lacks depth and complexity - OK.

Large can (UK Pint and 8.7% ABV) into a straight sleeve at my daughters place in Laguna Hills on 17th July 2024. Slight mist in the golden body, snow white head that gave some lacing. Semi-sweet tropical fruit flavours with some dankness creeping in later, decent DIPA, even with the lower ABV.

Large can (UK Pint) into a straight sleeve on 17th July 2024 in Laguna Hills, at my daughters. Clean and clear golden body, decent white head. Bitter mango taste, mango like nose. Dry mouthfeel with the mango flavours dominating right to the end.

Part of a flight at the brewery on 9th July 2024. Cloudy yellow, white topping. Mango and coconut aroma/taste, sweet orange like flavours arrive as it warmed in the glass, nice!
