US Pint can from Benny’s Place, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a slightly hazy light amber colour with a mostly lasting frothy white head and some broken lace. The aroma is grainy, light toffee. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a smooth, fresh, juicy citrus, hop bitter palate and a lingering bitter finish. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Billed as a Westie but not so bitter as I expected.

Draught @ First Draft, Chicago IL. Clear golden with a small foamy off-white head, faint malty aroma, adequate carbonation, medium bitter malt forward taste with citrus peel, thin body, long medium bitter finish. A nice West Coast IPA.

Bottle (Batch 7) from Valley Beverage, Sherman Oaks. Cola brown with nice viscosity, no head, sparkle or lacing. Aroma is bourbon, toffee, vanilla. Taste is strong bourbon, vanilla, caramel, oak. Smooth texture, thin body, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Not the most complex beer but good strength and balance.

Aroma has mild bourbon, oak, vanilla. The flavor follows with a mild bourbon throughout. Mild vanilla, oak, dark fruit, and apple-like hints. No oxidation are off flavors. Alcohol is not found either. Held up crazy good!!
