Description
Set on the stunning Kent coast, we at Time and Tide Brewing are fueled by our passion for beer, our sense of fun and unrelenting dedication to making the best beer we possibly can. Founded in 2013 by Paul, Sam and Kerry, our beers reflect our passion; we love juicy, hoppy IPA’s and are excited about modern and progressive approaches to brewing. In 2019 we started collaborating with the Deal Hop Farm; growing hops on a patchwork farm in and around Deal. We use their Prima Donna hops to make more traditional beers in cask and cans.

On tap at the Berry Walmer. Hazy russet colour thin beige head. Nutty malty dubbel. Quite hoppy and bitter too. Over carbonated so had to decant into another glass. Nut like the inside of a nutshell flavour. Not unpleasant but not reall like s normal dubbel and I guess needs work. The saaz gives a spritzy finish. Which again I am not sure works on a dubbel.

Appearance- very dark, black almost, ruby/light brown tinge at the base. Aromas- roasty malt, coffee hints, milk choc, cocoa powder. Taste- very roasty, definite hop profile in the background, coffee bitterness coming through, lingering finish which has a bitter, dark choc quality. A little thin in the mouthfeel. Not bad at all.

Bottle. Appearance- amber, very small white froth of a head which goes quite quickly. Aroma- grapefruit, pine, hops, floral, spices. Taste- pine, bitter hops, smooth, floral notes, hint of caramel, grapefruit. Doesn’t look the best but nice tasting.

Cask gravity at the Firkin Ale House micropub in Folkestone. Clear gold colour with a lasting white head. Just a beautiful golden ale.

Bottle bought at Googies, Folkestone and drank at home. Black beer with lasting dark beige head and looks pretty well carbonated from the bottle conditioning. Chocolate on the aroma. More chocolate in the mouth. A relatively dry stout. A little bit of blackcurrant flavour on the finish. Tasty and rather a nice beer. I look forward to drinking more beers from this brewery.

Centennial Simcoe 6.1%. Keykeg at Googies Folkestone. Hazy orange gold colour thin lasting white head. Earthy grapefruit aroma. Some toffee malt. The centennials are quite earthy throughout. Not overly bitter onthe finish. Quite juicy and smooth. Some tangerine fruit. It?s ok. Not in the Kernel or Partizan class but for a new Kent brewery doing keykeg a good start. I believe that they are cuckoo brewing at Ripple Steam brewery at the moment. Re rate at the Firkin Ale House Folkestone. Some biscuit lots of hops. Good beer. Good mouthfeel.
