On tap at Ebenezers, Crewe. Pours a murky pinkish red with minimal white head. The aroma has strawberries but not overwhelmingly so. In the mouth the sourness is the first thing to grab the attention, but again not overpoweringly. Strawberries follow quickly after plus, eventually some hints of cherries and citrus stickiness. Sourness is more pronounced in the finish. OK – bit of a one trick pony.

Tap@Skaal, Copenhagen (23/09/2022) - brown pour with a off white head. Toasted sweet malty with notes of caramel and toffee, biscuity malts, medium body, malty lingering finish. Ok.

Can bought at Twisted Crow, Basingstoke. Aroma is sweet - caramel, candi sugar and nuts. Followed by cocao. Hazy-opaque Toffee brown. Thick fluffy foamy off-white head. Medium bitter- grainy. Citrus edge. Followed by underlying caramel and nougat. Bitterness is in throughout (as is spice). Light-medium bodied. Thin but lifted by uber fizzy carbonation. A spicy brown. Nice.

Tap at Hampshire Oktoberfest. Aroma is very tart with an odd earthy streak. Hazy dull gold. Thin foamy white head soon starts to recede. It's sweet with a tart sour streak. Stone fruit + added sugar. Light bodied. Slick. Flat-fizzy carbonation. Long dry finish. Nice but no oomph.

[Cask at the Hampshire Octoberfest, Basingstoke] A hazy pale amber pour with a thin white head; aroma of mango, orange and pineapple; full bodied, with an oaty mouthfeel and tropical fruit squash taste; but then rather lacking in finish.

Draught at Kislings. Mild caramelly aroma. Hazy medium brown colour. Good stable light brown head. The flavour is citric with a distinct vinegary note. Not undrinkable, but also not great. Must be the tap, but gets a low rating for now.

Draught @ Kiesling, Sønderborg on Øllets Dag 2022. Pours hazy copper brown with airy but stable off-white head. Clear aroma of malt and caramel, with some sour notes and estery touches. Sour flavour with touches of caramel malt and yeast, and hints of hops. Sour aftertaste. Off. Needs re-rating.

Keg at Heidrun, HW, 27/08/22. Fruit smoothie orange with no head. Nose is mango pulp, sharp citric notes, grass, damp straw. Taste comprises bitter sweet mango, lactic pinch, mango puree, hint of grapefruit, citric tinged straw, grass, pine nip. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light drying close with a bitter sweet edge. Not bad for the style ... has a sharp edge about it and doesn't run too sweet.
