Description
In 2012, The Harbour Brewing Co. was just a fledgling idea: to brew proper beer reflecting the land (and shores) from where it came. Taking the best raw ingredients - awesome hops, Cornish spring water tapped straight from the source - and bringing them to life through dedication to technique. The concept evolved by the ocean - hence, 'Harbour' - but the beer came into being on the farm. There is joy in returning to the roots of the ingredients. And the heritage of the space, of the land, of the ocean, remain our inspiration.
Everything clicks; the farm is Harbour's home.

Fairly dark golden amber, clear, bubbly thin head
Aroma - sweet golden malts, soft grassy hop, hint of caramelised orange, bit of caramel malt
Taste - Fairly sweet golden malts, soft orange zest, bit herbal, touch of a floral note, soft grassy hops.
Palate - soft carb, thinnish body, bitter palate, bit thin for the abv. Finish as main flavour which dissipates quickly
Overall - It’s OK but nothing special

Aroma: Difficult to detect. Muted caramel and orange rind notes. Smells dry and hoppy. Clean, but not very powerful.
Appearance: Murky, amber body with a small white head. Good carbonation. Excellent lacing
Taste: Quite a deep, heavy taste with a warming alcohol burn. Sweet candy malt with a subtle orange flavour. Dry, bitter finish.
Palate: Medium body with a slick mouthfeel. Fizzy carbonation.
Overall: This isn’t as complex as I’d hoped for, but it’s a well balanced double IPA. Hoppy, dry and heavy.

Cask at the Southampton Arms, London on 26th April 2012. Pale amber with thin off-white head and spots of lace. Mildly spicy aroma with grassy hop notes. Grassy bitternes in-mouth; some malty rounding then a bittersweet aftertaste. Quite a delicate collection of flavours. Light mouthfeel and body.

Cask conditioned Reading BF 2012. Mid orange gold. Thin bubbly head. Pretty decent hoppy premium bitter. Yes the hops are tasty and the malts have a certain toffee flavour. Fine. 3.3/5. Bottle from Sainsburys Beer Hunt 2013. Gold slight haze lasting off white head. Certainly a hoppy aroma, I mean I could smell the hops as I poured it. It’s certainly resiny and leafy more than I had it before. The hops are more to the front. Quite bitter on the finish and a growing bitterness. Tasty. Yes still some toffee in the middle, but the aroma is good and so is the bitterness on the finish.
