Description
450 North Brewing Company is a brewery, tap room and restaurant located on the Simmons’ family farm in beautiful Columbus, IN. Since opening in September 2012, the taproom has become a destination for delicious beer, pizza, and fresh growler fills. Featuring a picturesque rural setting and one-of-a-kind events like the annual Corn Maze Beer Fest, we are the perfect spot for a laid-back day trip. If beer isn’t your thing, our own Simmons Winery and Gnarly Grove hard cider is produced and available on-site. Our beer is distributed in Indiana, Kentucky and Tennessee. Draft: Clear, still, light yellow-gold....no head. Apple, pineapple scent. Taste is old, sweet apple, pineapple....and a very nicely restrained habanero flavor and heat. Mild...really nice...and different.

Draft: Hazy yellow-gold with a white head. Lemon, wheat scent. Taste is sharp...citrus-juice-driven.... Lemon, wheat malt. A little rough.....bitter and slightly sour. Not that good.

Draft: Dark brown with a dark tan head. Bourbon, wood, chocolate scent. Taste is pretty sedate.....chocolate malt....bourbon. The bourbon enhances rather than overwhelms.....a nice change from so many BB offerings recently. Fairly sweet.....not bad.

Draft: Clear amber-orange with a small beige head. Grain, caramel, melon aroma. Taste is sweet, melon, peach, grain malt. Mild peel bitter finish. A very different blend of flavours that came out really nice.

Can: Hazy, orange-amber with a frothy, off-white head. Mango, orange, pineapple, pine scent. Taste is sweet, tropical fruits, orange-peel, pine/resin. A nice blend of sweet and bitter.....a really easy drinking DIPA......very good.

16oz can. Pours out a hazy orange color topped with a white head. Nose is nice orange citrus fruits and some sweetness. Taste is more of the citrus a nice dank kick.

Draft: Slightly hazy orange-amber with an off-white head. Grain, caramel scent. Taste is pretty much standard Oktoberfest fare....caramel malt and grains... Just a tad watery, but decent.

Draft. Grainy toffee malt and hay aroma. Amber with small head. Moderately sweet barley, toffee malt, and moderately bitter dry hay flavor. Good body. Solid.

Draft. Lactic lemon, coriander, and wheat malt aroma. Hazy pale yellow with moderate head. Moderately sweet lemon, coriander, wheat malt, sour lactic acid, and lightly bitter straw flavor. Good body. Very acidic for the style.

Draft. Floral peach/melon, caramel malt, and orange peel aroma. Golden yellow with small head. Moderately sweet melon, caramel malt, and moderately bitter grapefruit peel flavor. Good body. Nice fruit flavor.
