can - Pours light and hazy copper colored with a huge, craggy off-white head that took a long time to settle and required pouring in stages. When a beer is that foamy, it’s often not a good sign. There’s some citrus in the background of the aroma but it’s overwhelmed by off, band aid like smells. Sigh. Naturally the flavor has the off flavors too. The only thing that makes it drinkable is the heavy dose of citrusy hops and that the body hasn’t been thinned out too much yet by the infection or whatever’s going on here. Disappointing.

can - Pours very dark brown with a tan head and smells of roast malt, chocolate, and a little dark fruit. The rich flavor is sweet with roast character, spices, chocolate and suggestions of fruit. It’s full bodied and tasty. a Belgian strong that resembles a stout.

Can in StFun’s photoshop contest box. Pours a cloudy orange with small frothy white head that lasts. The aroma is strong pine, grapefruit, rye. Medium mouth, rye, caramel malt, pine, lingering bitterness, ok.

16 oz. can, in a free box from StFun. Brilliant, clear, bronze-orange color, with a big, foamy, off-white head. The nose is bitter orange peel, caramel, rye, and some abrasive resin or pine sap. Sweet and malty up front, with an unpleasantly harsh bitterness that lingers long through the finish. Medium body, acerbic, sticky, and grainy. This is a nicely aromatic IPA, but the flavor is unbalanced. Not too bad, but not my favorite.
