Pour is a nice deep yellow with a big foamy head. Aroma is nice and hoppy. Flavor is citrusy and hoppy. A good summertime brew.

2004 bottle. Pours a bright golden-yellow, small white head, bubbly and clear. Aroma actually exists, surprisingly, lemon, light, light hops and a sharp, almost metallic note. Flavor is citrusy, doughy and light bodied, no real sweetness, but some hops apparency, albeit very light. Slightly muddled finish, has citrus but also a dry wheaty flavor. A decent light beer for mowing the lawn.

I have never been a big fan of the Petes line of beers and this was no exception.+++ This one came in the usual 12 oz brown bottle. It poured a clear golden color with a trace of a white head. There was a sweet & sour tangy aroma with a hint of citrus. Tastes like a pale lager. Thin. slightly sour. Vaguely skunky. I can not detect any wheat malt at all. A very uninspiring effort.

Clear straw-colored body topped by a medium off-white head. This reminds me a bit of a malt liquor without the impurities- rather sweet and adjuncty. Grassy/earthy hops. This beer swings for the pitcher’s mound and makes it to second base.

Clear pale golden coloured body with a dense soapy white head. Aroma of fresh hops, bright lemons, some wheat and definate soap. Light-bodied; Noticeable hoppiness present with some light wheat flavours and some subtle citrus roaming in the background. Aftertaste light and refreshing and definately good for the summer. Actually, a nice summer beer-a bit better than their ’Summer Brew’ and perhaps the best blonde I’ve had in a long time! I got this twelve ounce bottle from Premier Gourmet in Buffalo, New York and sampled it on 25-May-2004.

Odd but not bad. +++ Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer pours a nice copper color with a small tan head. There is a light sour aroma that was a bit disappointing. The flavor is malty and sour with a definite raspberry taste. There is a bitterness that lingers.

Brown ale with a moka head. Strong cardboard aroma indicating oxidation. Cardboard taste with malt coming sligthly through. Barely any hops.

Bleh, I get no citrus/lemon out of this. Only a weird buttery malt, an even weirder tang, and an out of place thick bitter finish.

Price paid: $6.99 for a 6-pack Nice deep amber, but very small head that goes away quickly. Smell leaves something to be desired for. I bought this for two reasons: seasonal and the word "nutmeg" on the label. Nutmeg, my favorite spice, is nowhere to be found in the aroma. It does have a slight raspberryish type smell, but it almost smells like cheap extract (which is might very well be). OK, I can taste the nutmeg a tiny bit, but it's masked by a cheap raspberry taste... I love raspberries, but not this beer. Mouthfeel is actually kinda weird... reminds me a bit of a ginger ale feel. Not impressed. As far as seasonals go, this one is not in the "better" category. I suppose I should have known to stay away from the new Pete's.

Appearance: golden with a hint of orange Smell: exceptional! I smelled the strawberries as soon as the bottle's cap lifted off. Taste: ugh, not nearly as good as the smell Mouthfeel: tingly and bitter Not gonna buy this beer again... Not even for the fresh scent.
