Keg at Shorty’s - Lexongton. Pours clear copper-gold with a frothy, off-white head. The nose has some leafy hops, rindy orange, toasted grains. Light-medium sweet flavour with notes of ripe and rindy orange, more grain, leaves and earth. Medium bodied, averagely carbonated. Finishes with piney and rindy bitterness, a little earth, ripe orange, mellow alcohol, toasty and grainy bread. Not bad overall.

12oz can (label on upside down) pours a lightly hazy gold with some spitty, white head. Nose is fairly standard, honey, yeast, flowers. Flavor follows, heavy with honey, light lemon, yeast, patchouli. Finishes a bit watery.

Draft: Copper-brown with a beige head. Aroma of pumpkin, nutmeg. Taste is basic pumpkin ale and spice fare....the difference is the lactose....gives it an almost sticky, clingy feel...... Tasty, but I don’t think I could drink a lot of it at a sitting.

Draft: Clear, light gold, with a white head. Grain malt, lemon scent. Taste is lightly grassy, a little sweet... Not a strong pils taste, but nice and easy-going. One of those that would make for a great, everyday, stand-by beer.

Draft: Slightly hazy, golden-yellow with a white head. Aroma is like a fresh 2X4.... Woody, sweet, with a pronounced alcohol heat and bitter... Not your typical golden ale by a long shot.

Sweet candied tropical fruits. Medium bitterness overpowered by more sweet fruits. Interesting but too much sugary fruits.
