One of the new core beers for Rock Bottom. Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a bright orange-caramel color with a large creamy orange-white head that left incredible lacing. The aroma was bitter with a moderate pink grapefruit element and was a touch dry. The flavor was bitter and dry with moderate lemon and grapefruit. The finish was long bitter lemon. Medium body. Some potential but really lacking in depth.

Nonic pint draft at the Gordon Biersch in Leawood, Kansas. Pour is a mostly clear copper auburn, with a one inch tan head head. Head falls with nice lacing. The aroma is cereal sweet malt, a mildly dank hoppiness and some general grassiness. Nose is fresh and clean. The taste is pretty straightforward sweet malt grain, a touch of vanilla sweetness as well, and then thins out nicely with bright catty hoppiness. Palate is medium to thin bodied to start, thins out a bit towards the finish. Carbonation is active, coupled with the dry mineral finish this was quite easy to drink. This would be a good session option, though ABV is higher than I would have expected from the body.

Nonic pint draft at the Gordon Biersch in Leawood, Kansas. Pour is a hazed golden orange with a foamy one inch off white head. Nice lacing left behind. Aroma is citrus, bit of fruit stripe gum, light cracker malt. Taste is sweet citrus fruit, more of the bright lemon fruit strip gum. Aftertaste has some dank to it, nicely highlighting the hops. Nose and taste are both fresh and crisp. Palate is thin to medium bodied, nice active carbonation and the clean mineral finish. Nice.
