Can shared at Andrew's b-day bash. Pours a hazy gold with a finger of foam that lingers, then dissipates. Huge pineapple forward nose with citrusy hops and mango aromas. Creamy vanilla and lactose on the palate with a crushed pineapple character. Smooth and refreshing. Great milkshake.

On tap at Levante, pours a hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out some earthy and resinous hops upfront, with a bit of yeast. Flavour is similar, with earthy and resinous hops, some toasted caramel sweetness, and light yeastiness. Could be better dialed in, but it's not too bad.

On tap at Levante, pours a deep dark reddish brown with a small white head. Aroma brings out the vanilla beans upfront, with gentle toasted malt. Flavour is along the same lines, with vanilla beans dominating without being aggressive or sweet. Gentle and unobtrusive. Okay.

On tap at Levante, pours a cloudy dull golden with a small white head. Aroma is very yeasty, with earthy hops, chalk and biscuity malt. Flavour is quite chalky and chaotic, with lots of yeast soup, earthy hops and a lightly sweet biscuity malt base. Chaotic and yeasty, with a beer unpleasantly chalky palate. Not good.

On tap at Levante, pours a clear pale golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out a decent rustic saison yeast upfront, with light esters. Flavour is along the same lines, with rustic saison yeast, light esters and crisp biscuity malt. Not exactly authentic, but at least it too estery. It's alright.

On tap at Levante, pours a cloudy yellowish blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out a fair bit of yeast, with dank piney hops, some chalk and biscuity malt. Flavour is really yeasty and chalky, with a bitter dry hop character and dry biscuity malt. Way too yeasty and chalky - exactly how not to execute this style.

On tap at Levante, pours a cloudy yellowish blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out dry piney and floral hops, with a dry subtle champagne yeast character. Flavour is quite crisp and dry, with piney and grassy hops, biscuity malt and a touch of the champagne yeast. Bone dry but nicely done. Solid.

Canned 4/12, drunk 5/7/18.
Heavy haze, bordering soup. Bright pink-to-blood-red with a white head sitting at cover.
Hibiscus and guava are bright and show plentiful acidity. No real IPA notes, but it's also almost a month old. Great juiciness, nonetheless, from the actual fruit and only soft vanilla hanging on the finish, from the lactose. No alcohol or flaw.
In the mouth, it's tart and fruity with tons of juice and a big, tart, spicy, earthy, leathery hibiscus character that is in turn softened and balanced by creamy, vanilla-laden lactose. Guava acidity and tons of tropical fruit juice continues on the finish alongside more earth and leather. Vanilla and strawberry give a cherry character at times. Biscuity malts and light bitterness with a great balance and good attenuation. Somewhat on the sweeter side, though, but juicy and delicious.
