Bottle. Pours black. Peanut butter, chocolate, brandy, booze, heavy booze, vanilla, little grape, lots of peanut butter, lots of nutty vanilla barrel stuff. Oily body. Hefty. Pretty good.

I purchased a 16 oz can at the local craft beer store two weeks ago. Never got sold entirely on the NE style thing but there have certainly ones I have liked, particularly when they are imperials. My ABGB snifter has been taken down from the cabinet for this sampling, I make the pour. A hazy orange body certainly followed by a stupendous head of orange-tan foam, something I have never seen before. The scent is a decent combination of citrus in general, oranges specifically and pine. The drink is, well, it is pretty fine in the style. Cedar, sweet oranges, crackers, citrus, a decent amount of hops, all with an amount of bitterness and certainly with a lot of presence, an aspect of the high ABV, I am convinced. This brew is more of a hybrid between WC and NE in my opinion and it works. Tasty.

From a pint can. Pours a cloudy orange straw with a big off white head. Aromas are of tropical fruits. Flavors are moderately bitter mixed citrus.

A relatively expensive pint can for an IPA from the local craft beer store. Maybe they know something I do not. NE style, still worth a sampling, time to do that. I open the can and lift into my New Belgium globe glass. I see an impenetrable, gold-orange body with a persistent head of pillowy, totally white foam. I have the say the scent is not bad, sweet tropical and citrus with an offsetting presence of hops. And the drink follows that fairly closely, oranges, grapefruit, some dankness, marmalade, cedar, a mango sweetness and dry crackers. A substantial sensation, the ABV is flexing. Okay moving into pretty decent, the beer is better than its throwaway name.

Sweet and slightly tart with some hints of sport drink flavors, sugar and soda notes. Candy sour without the sourness.

Nice label on a 16 oz can from a Bedford, TX brewery. The style? Not near my my favorite but I can roll. Catching the pour in a globe glass, the view is a milky orange topped with a solid head of absolutely white foam. A tropical smell, pleasant enough. The taste is a progression up with some standard ipa notes helping out. Pineapple, oranges, a bit of hoppiness, grass, enough bitterness to register. Not a bad beer to pull on in a hot June evening.

Thirsty Growler. Running out of options. Half hazy, golden, frothy tulip pour. Honey, dried pineapple & strawberry mint nose. Hot garbage sorta foul. Very boozy. Old apple, dried pineapple, strawberry mint, background noise passion fruit. Coconut oil. Sweet n sour mix. Dumpster fire fruit salad.

This pint can was found at the Total Wine near Love Field in Dallas. Barrel aging of an imperial stout? This is certainly going the right direction. My only globe glass is getting the tilt of the can tonight, the appearance is of a viscous, fully black body with no head. The scent is, well, it is strong with dark chocolate, wood and alcohol. And the drink follows along closely. Bakers chocolate, grain, sorghum molasses, caramel, bourbon in a heavy influence, fudge and dark fruit. Sweeter than I expected, too much actually. The sensation matches the nose, quite full and dense. I know the booze will kick in later. Very rich, really decadent. This imperial checks a lot of boxes, I would certainly buy again.
