Poured from the tap. Clear pale blonde with small white head. Grain and grass hops, simplistic, okay.

12 oz. can from HEB in Boerne, TX. Pours a crystal clear lighter golden-bronze color with a large off-white head and great retention. Very little lacing. Standard pale malt flavor with only a hint of caramel. The taste follows the nose: Light pale malt flavor with barely any caramel malt notes. Who's idea was it to make an Oktoberfest Lite? Light body. Lower than average carbonation. Not bitter. It's an okay light lager but an underwhelming festbier.

I have a 16 oz can that came from Mr. T's locally back in the fall and needs to be sampled promptly, time is awasting. For this event I set my Great Heights snifter in place and tilt the can. It has the basic New England style appearance with a hazy, lemon yellow body and a steady skim of snow white foam. I find the scent to be appealing, citrus, a bit of tropical fruit, pine and grass. The taste is similar. Grapefruit, malt, white bread, some honeydew melon and meadow. Offsetting amounts of sweet and bitter and not a lot of either. Decent enough.
