Description
It all started with a humble homebrew kit and the drive to make better beer. Tired of the same bland and dated choices everywhere, Air Force friends Eric Wallace and Dick Doore set out to make the kind of beer that excited them; beer they wanted to drink. A hobby quickly became an obsession and it wasn't long before Left Hand Brewing opened for business on January 22, 1994. Left Hand has steadily increased its production, making the Brewers Association’s Top 50 Craft Brewers list in 2012.

Ну для масс маркета нормально, конечно после пастриков с имперцами уже пьется как вода, но вроде без химозы что радует.

From a can pours big black large and in charge. Pretty nice medium head that fades to pond scum. Nose is mostly malted milky roasted stout but just maybe I think I may get some coconut? Just my brain's machination. First taste is milk stout but, the coconut in there now makes it presence known. Not a fan of coconut and this is more difficult than the original LH milk stout, fer sher. Yea, this is ok for a tik, but would not buy again due to the coconut influences. Chocolate? What chocolate? Actually borders on a pastry stout, JMHO. Some very soft co2 but needs more to balance the flavor spike. Its called coconut milk stout, you think they put coconut milk in there? LoL. Finishes with a mouthcoating feel and a lingering texture bordering on sweet cloy.

Bottle to snifter. Consumed 09/12/2017.
Appearance: dark amber/mahogany color with a finger's worth of eggshell white foamy head which dissipated at a nice pace and left just a little bit of lace
Aroma: sweet to floral rye notes up front with some caramel/toffee malts in there and becoming slightly bready with more warmth
Flavor: meshes the prior noted aromas to a fine sweet malty and floral/rye sweetness; finishes malty and rye sweet toned
Texture: medium bodied; slightly sessionable; good smoothness with nothing distracting; good carb level
Overall: I was hoping for the rye part to show some "spice" to it but that never happened; other than that the rest of this beer was pretty good.

Can to becher glass.
Appearance: dark brown close to black color with a two finger eggshell white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: black coffee roast; dark fruits; dark chocolate bitterness; light notes of toasted nuts and a subtle sweet earthiness
Flavor: blends the prior noted aromas to a fine sweet to slightly bitter quality underscored by a lighter note of roastiness; finishes semi-dry with light roasty notes and some dark fruits
Texture: medium bodied; good as a sipper; some smoothness with barely anything distracting; good carb level
Overall: pretty nicely done porter with some dark fruity notes in there.

Can to tulip.
Appearance: soft golden to copper color with a quickly dissipating head which didn't leave any lace
Aroma: honey, graham crackers, sweet floral notes; freshly cut grass, some bubblegum and crushed clove
Flavor: basically is sweet through the prior noted aromas but doesn't seem to have any of that clove I smelled anywhere here; finishes mostly through the honey, graham crackers and floral sweetness
Texture: light to medium bodied; somewhat sessionable; some smoothness with soft brushes of the clove that seems to have come back to show a sly presence; good carb level
Overall: not a bad saison, I think I "could" come back to this.

On tap at McGillicuddy's Five Corners, Essex Junction, VT on 11/28/2018.
Appearance: dark brown close to black in color with a bar pour's kind of slim off white foamy head which dissipated fairly quick into oblivion and barely had any lace
Aroma: mostly the chili peppers up front - fairly spicy with a light cherry sweet sweetness; good smoky tones with some dark chocolate sweet to bitter notes
Flavor: pretty much copies the aromas to a sweet to spicy to smoky sweet to bittersweet quality; finishes smoky with some chili peppers and cherries
Texture: medium bodied; this is a sipper; light smoothness with substantial dryness; the chili peppers seem a bit tamer in their heat to pummel the tongue; good carb level
Overall: so much going on with this beer, I liked it for the most part but realized this would be a great beer to end a night of beer drinking with.
