Jan. 17. A 0.5 l bottle at Regina del Formaggio, Split, another surprise here and another smoked. Let's see. So, it poured a hazy orange to golden body with a smaller whiteish head. Aroma of a crisp sour beer, like a lambic. And of a smoked. Interesting, these two blended in perfectly with their leather, green fruity and woody notes which continued with its sourish flavor. Some grape skin, a lot of berries, dry/tart with interesting addition of some fresh smoked cheese. Medium bodied with long funky finish that equally showcased both of its directions. An alcohol was perfectly hidden - no traces of it. An utterly interesting smoked lambic, well executed combination of something I've never though about before. Cool.

Jan. 17. A 0.5 l bottle at Regina del Formaggio, Split. It poured only a bit hazy brownish copper body with a tiny head. Pleasant roasted malty aroma with nice dried fruit and coffee profile. Flavor was lightly sweet with a whole palette of roasted flavors, coffee, dried fruits, cocoa, some dark bread and heavier roasted brown sugar or caramel with two tweaks. Firstly, the pleasant smoked woody-peaty touch nicely blends in. Also, it was complemented with moderate hop bitterness that was more pronounced in the ending, like herbs and citrus, even some more vivid fruits. Medium to full body where, with light hops, perfect alcohol balance was achieved. Clean, yet rich and wide finish. Really nice, well done!
