Description
Already in 1630 a brewhouse was founded on the main square in Pfaffenhofen. The oldest Pfaffenhofen miller (ancestor of the brewing family) is mentioned in official documnts from 1776 and 1779.
Through constant expansion and quality-oriented production, the former brewhouse and later house brewery became a growing and respected brewery over the generations, which has had a significant influence on the cityscape of Pfaffenhofen since then.

33cl bottle. A clear amber beer with a small off-white head. Aroma of grainy malt and soft hoppy orange fruits. Taste of dry grainy malt, soft orange fruits, hints of apricot, medium bitterness, boring!

Bottle, courtesy of Koelschtrinker. Pours cloudy orange. Aroma is pretty typical for a German hefeweizen, maybe a little more grass than usual. Body is medium and pretty dense and bready. Sweet too. Some grains. Quite good.

Fläschla: Deep golden to orangey coloured, hazy, small white foamy layer; sweetish-bitter nose of grainy malt and herbal to flowery hops; mild to moderate sweetish-bitter flavour, pretty light bodied, but nevertheless a bit sticky; bready spots in the sweetish-malty and bitter-tart finish. A summer ale of lesser quality...

(bottle, 33cl) Cloudy, deep golden to amber colour with a medium-sized off-white and quickly diminishing frothy head. Toasted and slightly bready malty aroma with caramel and mildly fruity and delicately flowery hoppy notes, including hints of citrus and lychee. Moderately sweet and slightly bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a modest carbonation. Toast-malty base with notes of caramel, bread and hints of tea, backed by mildly fruity hops, getting only slightly stronger towards the sweet and slightly butter finish. Quite malt-accented and restrained hoppy for a summer Ale, nevertheless drinkable. 12.VII.17
