Plastic bottle sample at a tasting at Vova’s place. Thanks Stas. Clear amber. Aroma of lots of honey, molasses, caramel and some bread. Sweet honey-ish flavor with caramel, light acidity and some bread. Light-bodied. Quite clean and not too offensive.

Pours dark brown liquid with minimal head. Malty aromas are present: bread, grain, caramel. Also yeast to feel. The taste is sweet without typical for other Kvases sourish note. Light body. Not the best sample of the style.

There isn’t alcohol in this; it’ll have to get nuked. But until then, a placeholder to remind me. It looks, smells and tastes like kvas, so brown, bread, raisin and tartness. Tick.

Comes in a 500ml plastic bottle, provided by Gaute. Headless. Reddish-brown coloured body. Smell of sweet dough. Sweet and mid-tart bread and fruits in flavour. Diluted bread on the swallow. Ok as a sweet non-artificial, soft drink (Tromsø, 08.08.2010).

2l bottle from a Russian store. Clear golden brown, small fizzy head. Malty and sweet with a dry mouthfeel and a shy sour touch in the finish.

21/01 2 l plastic bottle courtesy of Marko, thanks for sharing! It poured brown body with smaller head and lot of carbonation that put head down immediately. Sweet malty caramel aroma, a bit artificial. Very sweet flavor, pretty boring, only like better coke-like products. Carbonation biting, yet sweet finish. Way too sweet and simple, but still I appreciate those stuff, which I’m sorry that are not imported into my country. I would rather give my kids to drink this than crappy coke-stuff, it’s healthier!

big plastic bottle 2000ml that Marko bought at Russian shop in Zagreb and shared with us.
Cola coloured, minimal off-white head, very sweet caramel nose. Expected sweet stuff but this is even more sweeter. Weak notes of wheat in this "sugar bomb". Hardly drinkable.

2l bottle from a Russian store in Zagreb, shared with heavy and ogivlado. Poured a dark amber-brown body with a small off white head. Bready sweet caramelly nose, some dry dogfood (yup, 4/4, ffs), sweet. The taste is, you guessed it, sweet. Dog food vs. (?) malt, bearable and doesn’t get all that cloying (compared with the last one I’ve had at least). Very light acidity to keep it drinkable. Ah, dunno. Hard to rate.
