In the summer, our GastroTurf (beer garden featuring AstroTurf) brings all the flavours of summer ales to the familiar comfort of a putting green. Year-round, we host oddball events, brew with the community, sponsor festivals, facilitate charitable incentives, and make questionable marketing decisions. Want to sit your bum somewhere and let your freak flag fly? Well, matey, set sail for Halifax’s Most Questionable Brewing Experience.

On tap at Good Robot (Robie St.). Pours clear brown with a beige head. Nice roast on the nose, roasty and nutty. Flavour has a nutty malt profile, gentle roast. Maybe a bit lacking on the finish. Not bad.

On tap at Good Robot (Robie St.). Pours light gold with a slight hazy and a white head. Fresh pine and berries on the nose, a bit like floor cleaner. Flavour has loads of berries and bright pine, some febreeze. Bitter finish with some nice dank notes. Could use a bit more body. I don't love the cleaner-like hop expression, but all in this is decent.

On tap at Good Robot (Robie St.). Pours clear blonde with a white head. Dry hay and light biscuit malts on the nose. Flavour has dry grass and fairly subdued malts. A bit seltzery. It's clean, but a bit wanting.

Bright amber, not much head. Ok, it's an amber ale. It's clean, caramelly. I mean, I don't know. What's the point?

473mL can, pours a clear copper with a small white head. Aroma has toasted caramel, bready malt, maybe some English yeast. Flavour has some bready malt, lots of dry caramel (wtf?), not much hops. How do you fuck up a bitter this much? Not remotely convincing.

Poured from 473mL can (pkg 2025 Mar 03; thanks Toni CaptainMurphy). Clear orangey gold with small white head. Caramel malt, clean, fine, but not really a bitter.

473mL can Pours clear gold with a small white head. The nose is a bit fucked, just weird yeast character. Flavour has stale malts and weak yeast. Not very good.

Dank, green, peach nectar, and wet paper. Full mouth feel, soft carb. Medium bitter, juicy, stone fruit, pithy finish.

Can from the source. Hazy yellow, large white head. Aroma is peach, mango, and pineapple with a weird durian, sulphur note. Medium bitter, a touch astringent, citrus zest finish.
