Description
Fallen Angel Brewery was established in East Sussex in 2004 and soon became popular with its unique chilli ales and ciders. Combining the well documented benefits of beer with the nutritional benefits of chilli’s, including boosting circulation, improving heart health and lowering cholesterol not to mention the endorphin rush. Fallen Angel became widely known across the chilli fraternity and beer enthusiasts. It’s tagline being “modern ales- brewed traditionally”, the brewery continues to experiment and expand its range.
In 2012 the brewery moved to the East of England and Broxbourne Brewery became the home of the Fallen Angel. Moved to Essex in 2013. In 2015 the Brewery name reverted to the name Fallen Angel.

Cloudy orange - brown beer. Sourish orange nose. Crisp palate, light. Fresh orange with a light sourness. Finishes crisp. Sourness from Fallen Angel is almost a given but actually works here.

Very slightly hazy amber beer. White suddy head. Sourish nose, fruity and with some vinegar. Crisp palate turning frothy. Sour but not overly so. There is a little blackcurrant here with well buried peach and mildly bitter orange in the finish. Weird bitter but not unpleasant.

Hazy dark brown beer, foamy off white head. Crisp palate. A bit sour and tart. Doesn’t smell infected but this brewery comes with a reputation for infected beers. A little tart cherry and dry coca cola. Finishes bone dry with a carbonated bite. Mmmm!

Bottled. An unclear golden cider with a thin white head. The aroma has notes of apples and alcohol. The flavor is sweet with notes of alcohol, wood, and vinegar, leading to a tart finish.

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of madmitch76. Pours a cloudy yellow with a small white head. Rather sophisticated aroma, overripe apples with only a hint of what’s to come. Medium body, extremely tart apple notes, then comes the astringency and then comes the chili bite. A chili cider, how odd, but not entirely bad. Engages my saliva... 190412
