Clean golden to light amber color, small head. Nice aroma of toffee, cookies, lemon zest. The mouthfeel is too dry, almost astringent; a bit of malt flavor, strong bitterness.
Nice aroma, not so great flavor.

Bottle shared with friends at a weekend tasting. Thick dark brown pour. Aroma dominated by milk chocolate, with notes of vanilla, oak, bourbon. The taste follows the same notes, very heavy on the chocolate. Excellent beer.

12 oz. can. It pours a thick dark brown color with a nice tan head. The aroma is full with chocolate. Tons of chocolate with some tannic roasted malt and hints of smoke along with background notes of caramel and bread. Very robust. The flavor is similar with heavy roasted malt, a bit of tartness and astringency before a pleasant chocolaty, smoky finish. Rich bready, caramel malt backbone. Hop bitterness is low and the body is medium full bordering on thick, especially for the ABV. The heavy roast and mildly tart astringency are a bit off for me, but otherwise this is a very rich and flavorful porter.
