Description
This Micro brewery opened in September 2004. It is a 5 barrel plant. The waters for making Cuillin ales are drawn from the river who's source is just above Coire a Bhasteir, the waters running down from the Cuillin gathering minerals and peat on their way to Sligachan where the slightly peated waters are used to give Cuillin beers their distinctive flavour and colouring.

Can thanks to MrsSHIG: Poured a unclear orange copper with a white head. Aroma is light hops, caramel malts, sweetish. Taste is light bitterness, malty, butterscotch.

Black beer, white head. Light malty aroma. Flavour is creamy chocolate, malt, some vanilla. Simple stout but it's very drinkable. Could have a lot of it.

Light fruit AR ma a little salty. Clear amber beer, white head. Flavour is fairly mild, fruit, some zesty hop, there's a flavour I can't pick out which I'm guessing is the seaweed? It's alright but not as interesting as I hoped.

ABV was not listed to add. Beets decent. Nice, clear amber beer with a decent off white head. Tastes fruity, a little zesty and some hops. Decent.

500ml bottle from the brewery. Black with a thin off white head that quickly fizzed away. Roast malt aroma, flavour is similar with some hop spice. Bit thin

Perfectly decent porter, this. Good maltiness to it, a little toasty, some dark chocolate. Decent richness to it for the strength.

Clear, nutty brown beer. A little hoppy flavour, malt, I think maybe a slight hint of chocolate and a little toffee. Bit watery in the finish but it's decent and tasty.

Pretty easy-going, this. A little zesty hop up front and every so slightly grassy in the flavour with some citrus and a little fruity sweetness. Taste peters out a bit. Not the tastiest beer in the work but it's nice and refreshing

Not the most thrilling bitter you'll ever have but a nice maltiness to it and a hit of caramel stop it being totally run of the mill.
