Cask gravity Dover BF 06. Copper with thin head. Nice fruit, very drinkable. Good premium bitter. Could drink a lot of this. Good balance, well made beer (as SilkTork wouldn’t say)

(Cask at Oliver Twist, Stockholm) Golden yellow colour. Starts fruity (citrus) and rather sweet. Becomes drier and more bitter towards the finish. Drinkable and tasty.

(Bottle 50 cl) Slightly hazy pale amber with a rather tall, stable off-white head. Malty aroma with some fruity esters. Very soft mouthfeel, a bit flat. Roasted, malty notes with a wee touch of caramel. Light underlying tartness and a dry, lightly hoppy finish. 211205

Cloudy golden color. Lightly malty aroma and fruitness. Quite good structure, malty, some sweetness, boldly bitter, a bit aromatic, very long final. Interesting.

Bottle. A metallic malt and hops aroma. Dark opaque brown with large dissapating head. Slightly sweet molasses malt flavor - smooth with light hops finish - Thankfully there is no metallic taste. Nice tasting but aroma is a bit off. It’s always nice when you find a style you’ve been looking for by accident.

Golden/orange in colour. Small white head. Has a malty aroma and hints of caramel. Malty flavor and a little sweet. Soma caramel taste aswell, going over in a nice bitter asftertaste.

Hazy light amber color. The aroma is light, breadish. It has an ordinary flavor for a Golden Ale, with a light yeast touch (both flavor and aroma), and a correct bitterness. Easy but pleasant.

500 ml bottle. Rating #666 (ooo scary!). Too bad I couldn’t have saved my 666th rating for Halloween, but you go to rate with the beer you have. Pours a slightly cloudy amber body with half an inch of tan foam, and a half inch ring of bubble clinging to the glass just below the surface. Slightly fruity malt smell. First thing I taste is bubbliness that suggests force carbonation. Then some more fruity taste, perhaps from both malts and hops, supported by an old house yeast. Bit of pineapple juice and pear nectar, maybe some strawberry tartness. Some caramel malt. Bitterness somewhat indistinct, letting malts play up front. A slightly minty aftertaste. RB seems right to place this as a Strong Ale rather than the English Pale Ale its label claims to be. Very novel taste for any English beer.
