[Cask at 4.3% at the Hope Tap (JDW), Reading.] A copper coloured pour with a tight cream coloured head; sour fruity aroma; taste of caramel, red fruit and a little Christmas spice; then a dry spicy biscuity finish. A straightforward Christmas ale, not really to my taste.

(Bottle, 0.5 l - BB 30.09.2022, from Alko, 20211203) The beer poured brown and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had malts, caramel, earth and biscuits. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were earth, biscuits, malts, caramel and bitterness. Aftertaste was sweet, malty and bitter. A nice but bit too sweet malty brew.

500ml bottle shared with Eric in Shrewsbury. Pours deep amber, large off-white head. Aroma of amber malt, berry sweetness. Continues to taste, a bit more of a sweet nutty fruitcake flavour profile than I was expecting, nice nutty amber malt body. Solid bitterness. Ok ruby ale.

Bottle. Clear dark ruby/copper with a beautiful white head. Aroma of malts, red fruits, marzipan and herbal hops. Taste of malts, red fruits, toffee, biscuits, marmelade, caramel, apples and herbs. Moderate bitterness. Medium carbonation. A little bit of alcoholic warmth. Rather thin body. My description sounds great but unfortunately all the different parts donโt really mesh as well as they could. Still good though.
