Bottle from Morrisons, online. Pours very dark brown, small off white head, some retention. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee, grassy, touch of liquorice. Taste is chocolate, light roasted malts, coffee, quite a sweet middle but offset by a moderate bitter crisp finish. Creamy mouthfeel, fine carbonation which works well. Excellent tasty session porter.

Cask at Hops, Crewe. Pours golden amber with a medium sized foamy off-white head and good lacing. The aroma has grains, honey and malty sweetness. In the mouth it is quite bitter with some traditional hops, malts and biscuits. Later there are hints of ginger and spice leading to a slightly dry finish. This is decent enough.
