A black beer with a tan head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt and liquorice. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt and liqurice, as well as a bit of butter, leading to a dry finish.

Cask pint in The Sound Bar, Skipton on 9th April 2017. Pale blonde body, white head. I assume this is a single hop (Sorachi). Light citrus notes in both the nose and taste, mild herbal traces also: subtle rather than ’in your face’ flavours but decent enough.

Cask @ Friends Of Ham, Leeds. Clear golden with a small head. Strongish tasting but undistinguished as a winter or Christmas ale - its a little too hoppy for this.
